IV therapy is performed only by licensed medical professionals working under appropriate supervision.
Staff maintain active credentials, training, and competencies for IV therapy and emergency response.
Good Faith Exam (GFE) is completed by a qualified provider prior to any IV infusion to confirm appropriateness.

Review of history, current medications, allergies, and relevant health conditions.
Baseline vitals and hydration assessment; risks/benefits discussed with informed consent.
Clear plan of care documented before proceeding with any infusion.
Infection Control & Sterility
Single-use, sterile needles, IV tubing, and supplies for every client.
Hand hygiene before and after client contact; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Skin antisepsis at insertion site and aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
Proper sharps handling and disposal in approved containers.
Equipment and high-touch surfaces disinfected between appointments.
Clinical Screening & Contraindications
Assessment for conditions where IV therapy may not be appropriate, per provider judgment.
Verification of ingredient compatibility and allergy checks before mixing or administration.
Clients are encouraged to disclose all medications, supplements, and recent illnesses.
Monitoring During Infusions
Vitals and client comfort monitored during the infusion; rate adjusted as appropriate.
Infusion is paused or stopped if adverse symptoms occur; provider evaluates next steps.
All ingredients, lot numbers, doses, and infusion details are documented.
Emergency Preparedness
Emergency kit and protocols available at every appointment.
Escalation procedures in place; emergency services are contacted when indicated.
Staff trained in recognizing and responding to urgent reactions.
Aftercare Guidance
Post-infusion instructions provided (hydration, normal expectations, and when to seek care).
Follow-up available for questions or concerns after the appointment.
